Alright, so I’ve got my new MacBook. 13″, 2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 100GB HDD and the works.
Now I want to tripple boot it. But looking at some of the articles, the partitioning part looks the most important (and complicated). So I am holding onto doing the installation today. Let me prepare for it and then do the install.
In the meanwhile, a few resources:
If it is just the partitioning which has you worried then get a Gparted Live CD (just 30MB ISO) and see if that boots – if it does then rest would be simple
I did try with an Ubuntu live CD – and it started very well. I was surprised it detected most of the hardware and was progressing smoothly on the MacIntel. It was stuck on creating an X session though. But this could also be fixed in the latest versions. Kartik is going to get me the latest Ubuntu, and I will start from there.
I am loving the glossy LCD and the cute little camera on this MacBook right now 🙂
