Gopal’s rants – tech jobs and killed projects

I was surprised to read this post. At the same time, I can understand what he would be going through. Yahoo! certainly is a great place to be in, but what matters for a geek is to work on challenging projects, and to benefit the world with his code. In any organizations, there are projects that get killed, projects that are not promoted and people who are geeks like you and are busy in their own world.

I believe a lot of FOSS projects benefit from this craving of geeks. If they don’t get satisfaction from work, they try to get it from their FOSS project.
